Macy's Flower Show

Yesterday some friends and I stumbled upon the Macy's Flower Show, and it was like a little trip to India.

Upon entering we were greeted by a large statue of Ganesh lying on his side, the first time I've ever seen him when he wasn't sitting.  Ganesh is worshipped as the remover of obstacles.

I've read that for the most effective results, he should be placed near the front door.

There were beautiful, colorful flowers everywhere.  They also set up a fruit and spice stand.

Next we went outside to see the decorated store windows.  They did an amazing job.

Love this stately peacock

The show is ending tomorrow, so if you're in New York City, stop by and see this gorgeous floral display.
